Restore What the Elements Took Away
Long Island weather is relentless on your paint. Road salt from October through April, UV damage in summer parking lots, water spots from every rain, and the fine layer of industrial fallout that settles on every car in the metro area. Over time, this creates swirl marks, oxidation, and a dull, lifeless finish that no amount of washing can fix.
An exterior detail goes beyond cleaning — it’s paint restoration. We start with a thorough foam wash and clay bar decontamination to strip the surface of bonded contaminants. Then we bring in the machine polisher — compounding removes swirl marks and light scratches, glazing adds depth and clarity, and a premium sealant locks in the results for weeks.
The difference is dramatic. Paint that looked tired and faded comes back with deep, wet gloss and mirror-like clarity. This is the service you book when you want your car to look detailed, not just be clean.

Exterior Detail FAQ
A wash and wax cleans and protects. An exterior detail restores and protects. The key difference is machine compounding — we use a dual-action polisher to remove swirl marks, light scratches, and oxidation before sealing the paint. If your car just needs a glow-up, wash and wax is great. If your paint has lost its depth or has visible imperfections, exterior detail is the move.
Machine compounding removes swirl marks, water spots, and light-to-moderate scratches — basically anything that hasn’t cut through the clear coat into the base paint. If you can catch your fingernail in it, that’s a deep scratch and compounding will reduce its visibility but may not eliminate it completely. For everything else, the improvement is dramatic. Most people are genuinely surprised at how much better their paint looks after correction.
Most vehicles benefit from an exterior detail 1–2 times per year. Ideally once in spring (after winter salt damage) and once in fall (before winter hits). In between, regular hand washes or wash & wax visits keep the paint looking sharp. If you want long-term set-it-and-forget-it protection, pair an exterior detail with ceramic coating — you get the restoration plus years of protection in one visit.
